Puccini's La Bohème: A perfect Mother's Day gift
It's better than flowers! Share Puccini's heartfelt opera La Bohème with your Mom this May. Part of the inspiration for the popular Broadway musical, Rent and the film Moonstruck; La Bohème follows
the story of young bohemians living in Paris, a poet, a painter, a
musician, and a philosopher who long for a deeper connection to
society, to one another, and in the case of the poet Rodolfo, to the
beautiful but frail seamstress, Mimi. This production features some of
the greatest arias and music in the repertoire and is not to be missed.

The Sacramento Opera production of La Bohème is
lovingly dedicated to the memory of long-time volunteer and generous
supporter, Lt. Col. Frederick W. Shadle, 1917-2009, for service above
and beyond the call of duty. For many years, he meticulously
recorded the Sacramento Opera productions, casts, stage
directors and conductors, and facilitated every rehearsal of the
company until he "retired" a couple of years ago. He will be sorely
missed.
