Sacramento Opera presents Coffee & Conversation on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10 am, Lois Crowe Patio, Arboretum Terrace Garden, UC-Davis. The event is free.
The Sacramento Opera's Executive Director, Rod Gideons and Sacramento
Opera Artistic Director, Timm Rolek, will discuss the company's
upcoming season which includes the Arias, Overtures, &
Arabesques concert with the Sacramento Philharmonic and Sacramento
Ballet, Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance, Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, and Puccini's La Bohème. Complimentary coffee, bagels, and pastries will be served. The
terrace garden is located on the east side of the Borders Books &
Music store at the Davis Commons Shopping Center, at the corner of

Sacramento Opera presents Opera Interludes at Borders Books & Music, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 7 pm, 2339 Fair Oaks Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95825. This free,
informal gathering features a live performance by soprano Robin Fisher.
Ms. Fisher will sing excerpts from the Sacramento Opera's 2008-2009
Season productions. Sacramento Opera Executive Director, Rod Gideons,
will provide commentary and highlights of the Sacramento Opera's new
season. Be sure to enter the evening's drawing for two free opera

This not-to-be-missed concert showcases soprano Korliss Uecker, mezzo-soprano Dana Beth Miller, tenor Thomas Truhitte (did you know that his Dad played Rolf in the classical film, The Sound of Music?), baritone Nicolai Janitzky, the Sacramento Opera Chorus, the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sacramento Ballet,
and choreography by Ron Cunningham, Artistic Director of the Sacramento
Ballet. Sacramento Opera Artistic Director, Timm Rolek; Sacramento
Philharmonic Music Director, Michael Morgan; and Sacramento
Philharmonic Assistant Conductor, Ming Luke, conduct.
