Long before there was Paris, Nicole, and KFed, or before Frank, Dean, Sammy, and
Judy, there was “The Master,” Noël Coward, icon of British sophistication in the
theatrical, literary and musical worlds, who catapulted the notion of
“celebrity” into modern parlance. Acclaimed stage director, singer and actor,
Gary Briggle, presents Noël Coward in his own words, gleaned from The Master’s
diaries and autobiographies, juxtaposing wry commentary about London, family,
and travel with personal anecdotes about his life, career and friendship with
such theatrical luminaries as his artistic muse Gertrude Lawrence and the
Fabulous Lunts. This cabaret show will entertainingly acquaint and re-acquaint
you with this dazzling and unforgettable singer/actor, composer/lyricist,
playwright, and director—and celebrate once again Noël Coward's unique talent to
amuse.
