Sacramento Opera Ticketing Frequently Asked Questions

I’m a season subscriber, how do I exchange my season tickets?
Exchanges for season subscribers are based on availability. While we cannot guarantee the same seats, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Season ticket holders are asked to mail or bring tickets to the Community Center Theater Box Office, 1301 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, with the exchange request noted. Staff must have the exchanged tickets at least 72 hours prior to the performance.

I’m a season subscriber and I’ve lost my tickets. What should I do?
Replacement tickets can be issued to season ticket subscribers by calling the Opera office at 916.737.1000 at least five days prior to the day of performance. If the Opera office is closed, call the Community Center Theater Box Office at 916.808.5181 or go to the box office no later than one hour before the scheduled performance. Replacement tickets can be issued only once per opera and can be picked up at Will Call during regular business hours.

How do I get front center orchestra seats for the Sunday performance?
Front center orchestra seats are very popular—particularly at the Sunday afternoon performance. Your best opportunity to reserve these seats is to subscribe and order early. Priority seating is given to renewing subscribers, new subscribers, and then single ticket buyers.

I can't use my tickets. Can I return them and get a refund?
If you are a Sacramento Opera season subscriber, you can exchange your ticket for a different performance day. If you cannot attend any of the performances of a particular production, you may donate your tickets to the Sacramento Opera. We must have your tickets in hand 5 working days prior to the date on your original tickets. You will receive a tax receipt for your donation.
At this time, we do not exchange tickets for single ticket buyers. Single tickets purchased at the Community Center Box Office that wish to be donated, must be donated back to the Box Office.
