This not-to-be-missed concert showcases a selection of operatic gems performed by soprano Korliss Uecker, mezzo-soprano Dana Beth Miller, tenor Thomas Truhitte, baritone Nicolai Janitzky, the Sacramento Opera Chorus, the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sacramento Ballet, and choreography by Ron Cunningham, Artistic Director of The Sacramento Ballet. Sacramento Opera Artistic Director, Timm Rolek; Sacramento Philharmonic Music Director, Michael Morgan; and Sacramento Philharmonic Assistant Conductor, Ming Luke, conduct.

“Arias, Overtures, & Arabesques” brings you thrilling vocal, orchestral, and dance excerpts from operas such as Wagner’s Die Meistersinger, Massenet’s Manon, Puccini’s La Bohème, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Saint-Saëns’s Samson and Dalila, Verdi’s Luisa Miller, Donizetti’s La Favorita, Dvorak’s Rusalka, and Ambroise Thomas’s Hamlet; and brilliant music from American composers, including Sacramento resident William MacSems’s opera The Outcasts of Poker Flat and Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land.
