Since 1981, Sacramento Opera has mounted over 75 professional productions comprised primarily of standard, or traditional repertoire, plus a world premiere and three gala concerts. As the Sacramento Region’s only fully professional opera company, we play an important role as one of the region’s key civic amenities, integral to the cultural landscape and to the quality of life enjoyed by the citizens of California’s Capital City.

We are dependent on the generosity of a host of individuals to support this organization. Ticket sales account for only 49% of annual operating revenue at best, so the balance must be made up through contributions from individuals, businesses and grants from foundations and city/county governments.

We invite you to join those who believe Sacramento Opera is an important cultural asset. Make a donation and your gift will be used to help defray the cost of productions, help expand our education and community outreach programs, and provide employment to the hundreds of singers, orchestra musicians, stagehands, theater technicians, directors, conductors, costume, props, wigs and makeup personnel hired each season.
